How the State deals with Thought Crime
If you aren't already aware of it, take the time to read this fairly good summary of the absolutely appalling way the Canadian government is using taxpayer money to, in effect, prosecute someone for thought crime.
Coming on the heels of columnist Mark Steyn being hauled before a similar kangaroo court because he accurately quoted a European Mullah's bullshit boast. Apparently now all you have to do to be Islamophobic is not be too keen on Islam!
All because someone's "feelings were hurt".
Well, boo hoo.
If your religious belief is so fragile that some one telling you "It's a load of shit" is enough to send you into fits of rage, then you've got some serious problems, and it might be an idea to deal with that separately.
Luckily for me I live in Australia, far away from the tendrils of such Orwellian entities as the AHRC (except Victoria, where it is apparently a hate crime to read the Qu'ran and laugh out loud while doing so). So, I can do this.
Offensive? Naah.
Trust me every single fucking day much more horrific and offensive shit goes down in the Islamic world. Get a fucking sense of proportion.

Anyone who reads something like the Infancy Gospel of Thomas and then has a peruse of the Quranic account of the childhood of Jesus is sure to notice the sort of lifting that would make Christopher Paolini blush. Still, as the article notes, not only won't you hear a peep about this in the Islamic world, you'll barely hear about it in the United States either, why?
