Christ Almighty!

The President of Iran composed a rambling letter to the US, which, for the most part, isn't worth reading (although Powerline Blog does anyway).... it does, however, contain this howler:

"If Prophet Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ishamel, Joseph, or Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Him) were with us today, how would they have judged such behavior?"

Um....mate, you do realise that "Christ" is a distinctive appelation directly applied to Jesus by those who regard him as a divine figure, i.e. Christians?

It's not part of his given name, for Christ's sake.

For Muslims to call Jesus divine (which giving him the epithet "Christ" is) is fairly heretical.

On another note, Joseph a Prophet?

Wow. Apparently having your teenaged wife get herself pregnant by another entity is grounds enought to be declared a Prophet....must be easier than I thought...

Still not as bad as Adam, Mr "I'm dumber than a snake" himself. That's what you get with pilfering another religions religious figures, guys...

At least wait for the Anti-Muhammed to turn up!

UPDATE: Whoops! In my haste to mock someone's cherished beliefs, I inadvertantly fucked up and mixed Joey "Dad of Jesus" up with Joey "Son of Jake".

My geek license has been revoked and shortly I will no doubt go along to whatever horrible fate awaits me.

Regardless...both Joeys in question are fair inferior in their prophetic talents to this Joey. (PBUH)

(I was going to originally rag on Enoch, mainly for the "I can't get a date because all the fine sisters are fucking angels", but thought that was too easy a target. *Sigh*)
