What would do without surveys?
A woman's relationship acts as a barometer for her weight gain according to new research revealing how a woman's body shape changes through life.
Almost two-thirds of 3000 women polled for Weight Watchers said their weight fluctuated depending on their wellbeing - with 84 per cent citing their relationship as the biggest factor.
Stage 1 is "the honeymoon period" during which the average woman drops about 3.9kg to impress her new man.
Then comes "the comfy zone'' where takeaway and nights snuggled up on the couch encourages a weight gain of 5kg.
Hmmmm....
No mention of the break-up induced "I'm going to go eat a bucket of icecream!!!!!" weight gain...
Posted by Quentin George at February 21, 2006 08:31 PMI had a "I'm finally rid of that creepy vegetarian so I'm gonna eat to my heart's content now" weight gain. Best kilos I ever put on. :P

Posted by: Engels at February 21, 2006 09:43 PMJan, dumping a vegetarian is the best thing you can ever do to him.
You should get a humanitarian's award for that.
Posted by: Aidan at February 21, 2006 09:49 PMin my mind, when a woman dumps, or more to the point, is dumped by, a man, that is the precise time when she should be NOT putting on the pounds, because lets face it, she's going to have to try to look her best when she hits the disco looking for her next piece of wang....
Posted by: the reverend at February 23, 2006 01:37 PMAbsolutely. All hail the wang.
