This tastes totally gay.

What a queer thing to drink ....

NORWEGIAN homosexuals are set to launch their own soda brand, "Homo light", at an upcoming gastronomic festival, in the hope that it will help promote tolerance, one of the authors of the project said.
"The goal is not for us to make money but to make us more visible and accepted," Oeystein Mauritzen told AFP.

Pear-flavored and pink, "Homo Light" will go on sale as a one-time offer at a stand at a gastronomic festival in the southwestern town of Stavanger between July 27 and 30.

Along with the soda, which will be sold in half-litre (about a pint) bottles for 20 kroner ($4.70), the group will sell rainbow-colored pasta salads.

Seeing as how the intent of this product is to help others better understand the gay life-style, I was relieved to read that Homo-Light was pear-flavored.

It could have been much much worse.

And $4.75 for a sixteen ounce drink?

I dont know the exchange rate between U.S. and Norwegian currency, but it sounds like only fabulously fashionable and upwardly mobile homosexuals could afford to...ahem...guzzle this particular brew.

I've heard it's about $US12 by yanks for a maccas meal in Norway.

If they use the rainbow for their slogan, will the surviving members of the Inca civilisation sue for use of their flag?

Exchange rate is appr. 7,50 : 1$ - so the homo-light soda costed a little less than 3$ - which is average prize for soda in Norway. We are well paid:-)
I dont know what maccas meal is, but $US12 makes an all right lunch at a restaurant.
