My, how you've grown

Falminica is prospering!

The Republic of Falminica is a very large, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 76 million are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

The medium-sized, corrupt, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 1%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Automobile Manufacturing.

Small businesses are gobbled up almost daily by corporate giants, graffiti artists spend lengthy periods of time in jail, it's a common sight to see angry commuters with grenade launchers mounted on their vehicles, and skateparks can be found in every city. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is pervasive. Falminica's national animal is the meerkat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the bogi.

Falminica is ranked 2nd in the region and 38,271st in the world for Most Politically Apathetic Citizens.

Politically apathetic? God bless 'em!
