Well, here it is.
After meaning to do so for yonks and yonks, I finally set up my blog. What will the posts be about? Who knows...anything that takes my interest: politics, history, computing, gaming, the proper way to molest a chicken...
I'm still working out how this all functions, so the next post may be a while.
...Oh, and in case you didn't know, the title of this blog: Alea iacta est is Latin for "The Die is Cast".
Its what Caesar allegedly said when he crossed the Rubicon, ie the point of no return. I thought it a particularly poignant quote considering the state of the world these days, especially with regards to combating the scourge of Islamofascism and promoting democracy in Iraq.
